Where is TCU located?
TCU is located in Ft. Worth, Texas, which is centrally located three hours from Austin, TX and Oklahoma City, OK; four hours from Houston and San Antonio, TX; and four hours from Tulsa, OK. DFW International Airport (DFW) is 25 minutes from campus. Shuttle service can be purchased through the camp ($20 each way). Please include a copy of your flight schedule with your application.
Where are the soccer camps held?
You can find the address and location for each camp by navigating to the camp specific page. Please check the left margin of the webpage to locate the specific address on campus for each camp.
Who are the coaches at TCU soccer camps?
The coaches at TCU soccer camps will always be a combination of the TCU Soccer Staff, current players, and coaches from other Division I, II, III schools.
What are the player to coaches ratio?
The player to coach ratio depends on the size of the camp. Generally speaking, for field players, we try to keep the ratio around 16:1. For goalkeepers, we try to keep the ratio around 8:1.
What are the refund procedures?
Attending any portion of camp constitutes full camp attendance. As such, no refunds (neither full or partial) will be issued upon attending any portion of camp. No refunds will be issued within 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. Refunds requested prior to the 2-week deadline will be assessed a 30% administrative fee.
Can I pay a deposit to hold my child’s spot?
Unfortunately, no deposits will be accepted. All camp tuitions must be paid in full at time of registration.
What if my child needs to take medication during camp?
Please be sure to pack the necessary medication with your child and notify our camp office of your child’s medication protocol. We will always have an athletic trainer on duty and will be sure that she/he stays informed.
Will athletic trainers be available?
Yes, we will always have an athletic trainer on site.
Is there a back-up plan should bad weather arise?
In the event of bad weather, the camp office will convey the next steps/plan of action to you via email and Twitter (@ericbellsoccer
). If questions arise, please do not hesitate to contact our camp office as well.
What is the deadline to sign up for camps?
Camp deadlines are different for each camp. Please contact the camp office for more details.
Will I receive written confirmation that my child is enrolled?
Yes, you will receive an email from the camp.
What should my child bring to camp?
Overnight Campers should bring plenty of soccer clothing, a soccer ball, sunscreen, alarm clock, all linens, swimming suit, any medications necessary, and spending money. Day campers should arrive dressed to play soccer in shorts, t-shirts, shin guards, socks and cleats or tennis shoes. Both Day and Overnight campers must bring a soccer ball. All campers will receive camp T-shirt and draw string bag. Soccer Balls are available for purchase for $35.00.
Is there any free time?
While there is rarely free time we do other activities that allow for rest.
What type of supervision do you provide?
Campers are supervised by staff members during the entire camp. No one is allowed to leave campus. Dorms are supervised 24 hours a day.
Are teams welcome?
Teams or groups are encouraged to attend the all sessions of the Academy. Please designate on your application if you are attending as part of a team or group.
Can parents or coaches watch the sessions?
Yes, from the stands! All sessions are open to parents and coaches.
What equipment does the camp provide?
A T-shirt and draw string backpack are provided to every camper.
Does my child need any spending money?
Your child may need extra money for the camp Snack Bar, TCU Bookstore, and the Soccer Camp Store. Some campers may wish to order pizzas for a late night snack.
